Crockpot Chicken And Stuffing
There are so many things I love about this recipe! It’s super easy to put together, cooks quickly, and is literally like Thanksgiving dinner in a casserole dish.
This recipe is based on our Crock Pot Chicken Stuffed Casserole. I made a few adjustments to suit our taste and it turned out amazing, if I do say so myself! You’ll notice I took half a cup of broth and reduced the chicken seasoning to one teaspoon. If you prefer to get the amount from the original recipe, try it. I’m sure it will be very tasty too. However, I think it is just as delicious as listed on the recipe card. I hope you and your family enjoy it as much as we do! Thanksgiving dinner with a fraction of the work!

Boxed stuffing is popular, but once I tried this made-from-scratch version of stuffing, I was hooked. You’ll love all the fresh, real flavor it has when you make it yourself – plus it’s easier to make than you think.
This filling is packed with fresh herbs, freshly dried bread cubes (I list store-bought bread cubes as an option if you don’t have time to make your own), and has the perfect amount of butter and veggies.

At Thanksgiving, we all know how little space there is in the oven, so it always helps to be able to make some in advance or in the slow cooker. This recipe is a game changer for busy kitchens.

Tender, juicy slow-cooked turkey breast with a rich herb stuffing, cream of chicken soup, heavy cream, and hearty chicken broth are the perfect, easy weeknight dinner that’s filling and comforting.
This 5-Ingredient Crock-Pot Stuffing Turkey Casserole is perfect for those chilly fall nights! This dish combines all the flavors of Thanksgiving dinner into one easy-to-prepare meal.
Ingredient Turkey Stuffing Slow Cooker Casserole
The best part about this recipe is that it only requires five ingredients: turkey breast, herb box stuffing mix, cream of chicken soup (or any “cream of soup”), heavy cream, and chicken broth.
The filling adds texture and flavor to this dish without the need for more breadcrumbs or flour, while the cream of chicken soup adds a little extra moisture. This recipe serves at least four people and takes less than 10 minutes to prepare!
For this recipe, you only need “one pot,” your crock pot, and a medium bowl to combine the stuffing, soup, sour cream, and soup.

Below is the list of ingredients you will need to gather to make this recipe. Scroll down to see the full recipe card.
The filling covers the starches, so just serve with vegetables and you can eat easily.
If you are using leftover turkey, simply reheat the turkey and stuffing. Place the slow cooker on low heat and cook for about an hour or two or until the filling is tender.
Slow Cooker Turkey And Stuffing Casserole
If you use too much filling, you still need to add cream of chicken soup, cream and broth to prevent the filling from drying out. You may need to cut the sauce in half, depending on how wet the remaining filling is.
If stored correctly, your casserole will keep in the refrigerator for about three days. Make sure to keep it tightly covered and in an airtight dish or container to prevent spillage.
This recipe can be frozen, but since it involves heavy cream, we don’t recommend freezing it for more than two months. To prepare the dish after defrosting, cook over low heat for about two hours.
Vegan Crockpot Stuffing
Yes, you can easily make this gluten-free turkey and stuffing casserole using gluten-free bread instead of the herb box stuffing mix. You need to use your discretion when it comes to chicken broth, as some brands have wheat listed in their ingredient list. “Cream” soup is also not gluten-free, but you can make your own.
Yes, you can definitely add more or different vegetables to your casserole. Some good options include Brussels sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms or peppers.
You can use any type of stock or broth you like, but we recommend using chicken or turkey broth for added flavor. Broth is made from bones, broth is made from meat and/or vegetables. The broth is usually a little thicker, while the sauce is thinner and more flavorful. Watch the gluten content if you are gluten-free.
